Join us for an another inspiring RevU! (And free lunch) 🗓 Date: Thursday, November 2nd🕚 Time: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM📍 Location: 2250 N University Pkwy, Provo, UT 84604 (RevRoad HQ) As in entrepreneurship and in life, the only thing you can bet on is that things will never go according to plan. The same is the case for this month’s guest to RevUniversity, founder of Breaking Free Industries, Josh N. Despite always knowing that he would end up becoming an entrepreneur, the path Josh took to get there was anything but predictable. While it can be said that most entrepreneurs like to think differently and break rules, for Josh, these traits got him into some hot water—and serious jail time. Staring at a jail cell, a divorce, and a serious health condition, Josh decided it was time for a new life. He wondered, “how could I turn this passion for thinking differently into something that not only helps me, but possibly thousands of others?”With $400 from a mentor and a “fire in his belly,” Josh set out to make a difference, founding his new apparel company, Breaking Free Industries. While most people think that screen printing companies are a dime a dozen, Josh knew he could differentiate himself with a story—and for Breaking Free, that story was second chances. Witnessing what a small loan from a friend did for him while he was looking to change his life, Josh decided that the purpose of Breaking Free would be to support and employ the formerly incarcerated (it’s actually one of the job requirements). More than just a brand or a fabric, Breaking Free is an opportunity to grow strong, rehabilitated members of society.

The Entrepreneurial Chaska! These 72 Rs is the first earning of My 11 yo. She crafted woolen wristbands and managed to sell them to her friends. Here goes the journey. She has been creating various art and craft stuff for last 4+ years. She was playing with rubber bands just to kill the time and got an idea to make a wrist band. Instead of rubber bands she opted for woolen strings and made a wristband for herself. I suggested if she can show it to her friends and sell if they like it. She tried and here is the outcome.See, I firmly believe that by the time present kids grow up into youngsters, 80% of the current jobs would have got doomed or would see a 180 degree turnaround. So better they earn out of their own and that means being a player, creator or performer. And the only reason of sharing this story here is to bring this inspiration of play, create and perform to everyone. It really works, It must work for our future. Time has changed and we have to stop thinking about saving a corpus for children’s education and start Inspiring them to build their own. Hope this helps to someone.Do you have a story of anyone in your family breaking the barriers and becoming a player, creator or performer? Please share here.#entrepreneurship #children #parenting

Make a decision…Less than a month ago my wife decided to start her own nail businessShe’s been doing nails for herself and friends for about a year but never intended to start a businessThen she decided this is what she wanted to doBut there were a few hurdles…Going back to school to get licensed while having two young children Paying for the schooling Finding clients Finding a studio space to rentAnd so many more… This is the point where many people give upThey look at all the challenges ahead and decide to never start Will the school accept me?Who will take care of the kids? Where will we find the money? Will anyone actually want to use me? Who will rent to a brand new business? All questions she asked herself and had to overcomeBut she made the decision to do itAnd now less than a month into this journey…She has been accepted into school and paid for half the tuition in cash Both of our boys are in an amazing daycare She has almost 20 clients She has a private studio space in the nicest salon in town reserved for her All because she made a decision and ran with it What is the dream you have? What is the thing you’re scared to do? Decide to take action today and you’ll be surprised how far you go in a week, month or year Here’s the thing, time will pass anyway Six months to get a certification? The six month is going to pass anywayDon’t look back with regret Make a decision and run with it!#entrepreneurship #selfdevelopment #growthmindset #decisionmaking

18 months since the first post of Snug Monsters, 7yo's journey of learning #entrepreneurship continues. Lately, her repeat customers have been asking for new design options. Today, she made 6 new designs to seek #userfeedback and learned that customers pay a premium (2x) for better design. Kopi with Kang Wei☕️We never met in-person before until now. I met him online few years back. We became friends. I get to know his work and family too. Kang Wei Chin amazes me with his life story of using Law of Attraction to recover from an unfortunate accident. He was told by doctor that he will be on a wheel chair after an accident but he manifested the thought of being fully recovered and walk again. He did exactly that and even able to drive after walking again. I’ve seen and personally experienced the power of law of attraction (LOA)- ‘getting more of what we want’. Also, I’ve benefited a lot from attending the international LOA workshop conducted by Kang Wei himself some time back. I’m grateful that we get to meet in Ipoh and have a good chat together with his wife joining us too. During our conversation, a request came from them, they are keen to enrol their younger son in our online young entrepreneur workshops, but I told them that we have stop doing the online version last year as there wasn’t demand. Students prefer physical workshop over online sessions. That got me wondering if there are more parents looking to enrol their children into online entrepreneurship program again like the one we did during pandemic time. We have great fun learning topics on entrepreneurship and finances with students locally and internationally. I’m surely open to conduct the sessions as seeing the young minds getting excited and inspired learning about business, solving problems, taking on leadership roles, figuring out their finances to win the games are such a rewarding process. If you know any organisations or parenting community open to the online entrepreneurial and financial workshops for their staff and children, do connect me to explore further. #gratitude #lawofattraction #friendship #entrepreneurs

It may be a little early to hear jingle bells, but it’s not too early to order your Christmas wreaths at luvinstitute.org. The LUV Institute’s annual Wreaths of LUV holiday marketplace is open for business. And our little elves, youth and young adults ages 16 to 24 who’ve experienced trauma, are about to get busy making bows, and decorating wreaths and garland to adorn light poles in seven South Side communities. It’s all part of LUV’s Journey to My Better Self program that exposes them to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Proceeds pay their stipend and supports the program for another year. They have dreams. Let's help make them come true. #empoweryouth #entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurs with young kids... Don't forget about what's most important. Being an entrepreneur takes a lot of: - Your time - Your energy - Your attention It's not something you can easily turn on and off between the hours of 9 to 5. It's a different lifestyle. But don't forget why you're doing it. - Financial freedom - Homeschooling our kids - Affording amazing healthcare - Travel and experiences together - Golfing on a Wednesday afternoon - Giving your kids what you didn't have It's not about more money. It's about more freedom with the people you love most, setting them up for life. Tell me your #1 reason: Why did you choose entrepreneurship? -- P.S. Excited to share another chapter in my son David's journey in business education! Last month, David raised and auctioned two pigs through 4-H, grossing almost $750. Though expenses ate into his profits, the learning continued—some costs were investments in assets he can reuse, proving the initial outlay was worth every penny.Fast forward to today, and our efforts to prepare for our kunekune sow paid off faster than expected—she blessed us with four adorable piglets the day after the auction and they are now 2 weeks old and thriving. Just like that, David's "inventory" got a quick boost. With another sow due soon, his venture is expanding. And I’m learning right along side him. At just 14, David’s hands-on experience managing and growing a business that includes inventory is impressive. These lessons in resilience, investment, and growth are invaluable. I'm a proud dad and can't wait to see how these experiences shape his future. 🌟🐖#YouthInBusiness #4H #Agribusiness #FutureLeaders #Entrepreneurship #FarmLife #BusinessGrowth #InventoryManagement
