So I'm very bored with my hair right now. It's always pulled back in a low bun. I want to try other styles. However, I don't want to do a weave because it's too much of a pain to take out and honestly I'm not trying to spend that much money right now.
I also have a couple of events coming up that I need to look nice for so I thought about doing a sleek ponytail at first but now I'm thinking maybe I should try a half wig. I wish I could do a lacefront bob wig but I just don't have the hair skills to pull that off.
Anyway, do any of you wear half wigs? What are your thoughts?
I want mine to look as natural as possible.

When I'm board with my actual hair and don't want to wear lace front I usually use the 1 half wig that I've had for sometime now. you can even do styles to it to make it actually look natural and not to fake looking

Yeah I have a good amount of hair in the front to pull it off I think.
And I will definitely check out YouTube.
Thx.

I had a ton in the 90s and early 2000s.
They are played out because if you have no length, then ain't much you can do and they are VERY obvious, even the human hair ones.
I suggest you make your own with a wig cap and some tracks that match your hair texture spot on.

My supervisor has one, and it literally looks like she originally put the wig all the way in, and it just slowly slipped back up her head cuz it was too heavy

Girl, all I wear are half wigs! The kinky & curly ones are the easiest to wear. I would not recommend a straight half-wig unless your hair is at least chin length and matches the texture exactly.
I wore nothing but half-wigs after I big-chopped in 2009. Nobody could even tell where the wig started.
The pros of half wigs are that they are light-weight, are easy to put on and take off, are great for transitioning naturals, and can be worn regardless of hair length.
The cons are that the combs can cause too much friction, styling is often limited to just wearing the hair down, and you can't put deep parts in the wig.
Here are some curly/kinky half-wig tutorials:
Here's a kinky-straight half-wig tutorial:

Lmfao!!!
They do not blend. The hair always looks too shiny and fake. Maybe a lot of people I see have synthetic on.
