The body state police found in a 4-foot-deep grave in Angola Friday was identified as John T. Schmierer 18, of West Virginia, who had been missing from his father's Lewes home for more than two weeks. Dr. Ali Z. Hameli, state medical examiner, said Schmierer died from head and facial injuries from a blunt object and was identified by fingerprints.

Results of blood tests for alcohol and drugs are expected Monday from the medical examiner's office. Police suspected foul play when Schmierer was reported missing the afternoon of July 17.
